Cyclone Gabriele Charity Fundraiser

Namaste, dear readers!

As a passionate yogi and a firm believer in giving back to the community, I am thrilled to share with you the success of the recent outdoor yoga class organized by Yoga House in support of Red Cross NZ. I am excited to bring you the highlights of this incredible Fundraiser for Cyclone Gabriele event on Saturday, 25th March 2023, at the picturesque Arundel Reserve in Orewa, Auckland.

The event kicked off at 9:00 am, and the serene surroundings of the reserve provided the perfect setting for an invigorating yoga session. Yogi's of all ages and levels came together, united in their love for yoga and their desire to contribute to the disaster relief efforts. Despite the unpredictable weather in New Zealand, nothing could dampen the spirits of the participants who showed up in large numbers to support this noble cause.

The Yoga House's Sophie Rado, guided the participants through a one-hour yoga class that was both rejuvenating and inspiring. Because the class was open level, it ensured that everyone could participate and enjoy the benefits of yoga. The positive energy and camaraderie among the participants was abundant as everyone flowed from one asana to another, breathing mindfully and finding moments of stillness and peace amidst the lush greenery of Arundel Reserve.

As part of the fundraising efforts, Yoga House organized a raffle, thanks to generous donations from local businesses. The excitement was high as Sophie's husband Nick Rado (The Rock FM) announced the lucky winners, and the joy of giving back to the community was evident on everyone's faces.

I am thrilled to share that the event raised a whopping $954 for NZ Red Cross, providing much-needed disaster relief to those affected by the recent NZ weather events. The generosity and support the participants, local businesses, and the community showed were commendable. It is heartwarming to see how the practice of yoga can bring people together for a noble cause and make a difference in the lives of those in need.

On behalf of Yoga House, I express our deepest gratitude to all the participants, local businesses, and volunteers who made this event a grand success. We are proud to have partnered with NZ Red Cross and grateful for the opportunity to contribute to their disaster relief efforts. Your unwavering support and commitment to giving back to the community are truly inspiring.

It is a shining example of how small acts of kindness can significantly impact and bring hope to those in need.
